Some Changes to Foodies100

You may have noticed some changes to the Foodies100 index this month.

We’ve been running the Foodies100 index for a year now, and we’ve been thrilled by the number of bloggers participating in our site.

But in recent months we’ve noticed an increase in the number of blogs listed with us that write primarily on topics other than food.

While we love to chat to all blogs, our ranking and directory is designed to list food blogs, so over the coming weeks, we will be contacting some of the non-food bloggers in our index and inviting them to register on our Tots100 site, if it’s more appropriate for their blog.

Who will this affect?

We are looking at all the blogs we list, and flagging those where a majority of the content is NOT about food. Bloggers in the Foodies100 don’t have to write about food in every single post, but we do expect the blogs we list to be first and foremost about food, cooking and all things edible (and quaffable).

What if I’m affected?

If your blog is flagged, we will drop you an email to let you know. It may be that we ask you to remove your blog from our monthly charts, but if you’d still like to receive opportunities from brands then we recommend registering with Tots100, and selecting the ‘food’ option in your profile – we’ll be sharing relevant Foodies100 opportunities on Tots100, too, so you will still continue to receive opportunities to review food items, and attend food-related events.

Got questions?

If you think we’ve made a mistake, then please do drop me an email and we’ll be happy to talk to you in more detail.

  1. Hi I have sent you a few email but not sure if they are getting to you? I have change my blog over the last month and now mostly posting recipes / food reviews. Could you please take a look at my blog to see if I could be added back into the foodies 100 or re register? I would love to enter your comps and be in the foodies charts for the chance to be update on everything on food or food events in my area 🙂 many thanks for your time claire

So You Know...

As you've likely heard and seen, there's an increasing focus on the authenticity of follower growth and engagement on social platforms across the Influencer Marketing community. The platforms themselves have taken measures to deter inauthentic activity and brands now more closely scrutinise the audiences of the influencers with whom they are partnering.

The Flea Network has implemented a system that will detect abnormal spikes in following and engagement, and flag these properties. Of course, such spikes can often be attributed to viral posts or high-profile brands that bring greater exposure to some content.

If one of your social accounts is flagged by our system without an obvious reason, we may reach out to you for assistance in understanding it. If we find any influencer has artificially inflated their audience size or engagement using paid acquisition or automated, third-party tools, we will remove them permanently from our influencer community.

Feel free to reach out to us at with any questions or comments.

Thank you!

The Flea Network Team

Got it!
