The Edinburgh Fringe festival is one of the highlights of the summer in the UK and for foodies it’s the perfect chance to try out some amazing Scottish food and dishes from around the world, as the city comes alive for the summer.
This month, Foodies100 has teamed up with Premier Inn to offer a fantastic two night break in Edinburgh, including train travel and vouchers to see some of the top shows at this year’s Festival.
The lucky winner will receive:
- 2 night stay at one of four Edinburgh Premier Inn hotels (some rooms can accommodate up to 2 children and 2 adults)
- Travel to and from Edinburgh for two people
- Vouchers to attend festival events of your choice!
How to Enter
We’re challenging you to transport yourself into a fantasy world. Imagine you’re at the Edinburgh FEstival Fringe – the world’s largest arts festival. You and a friend have £500 to spend on whatever you want – but only 48 hours in which to spend it. What would your Fringe experience look like?
We’d like you to write a short blog post (300 words or more) telling us about your plans – and because it’s the Fringe and almost anything goes (where else would you see public toilets and working offices turned into venues or listen to musings on philosophy while enjoying a cheese tasting?), feel free to make your plan as creative, exciting and different as you like!
All we ask is that you include the Fringe logo at the bottom of this page somewhere in your entry along with this sentence:
“This blog post is my entry into the Foodies100 competition as part of Premier Inn’s Festival Fringe campaign. If I win my ideal 48 hour Edinburgh Festival Fringe weekend, I’d love to stay at…” and then include a link to the hotel of your choice – either Leith Waterfront, Lauriston Place, Haymarket or Princes Street.
Our competition runs from TODAY until 1 August with our lucky winner being crowned on 6 August, so there’s no time to waste.
How to add the Fringe Festival logo in your entry:
You can add the logo below to your blog post by copy and pasting the code below directly onto your blog:

Feel free to tweet your post to us @foodies100 or to @premierinn, including the #48HrFringe hashtag, to let everybody know about your entry.
