Last week was one of my favourite weeks because it was National Baking Week and Chocolate Week! Can’t get better than that surely? So here we have a delicious round up of all things baked and chocolatey. Enjoy!
First up this week is a delicious looking Bramley Apple Victoria Sandwich from Well Worn Whisk. This cake looks utterly stunning and would vanish very quickly in this house! A great way to use up the glut of apples at this time of the year.
If you still have more apples left over, then why not make a traditional apple pie? This one from And Stir Well looks like the perfect Autumn dessert. I’ll have mine with custard please!
Next up we have a carrot cake from Lancashire Food. Not only does it look very tasty but it contains vegetables, so it must be good. Right?
How about some chocolate? Well, I was spoilt for choice as there are so many delicious chocolate blog posts out there. But I really love the look of these melting middle chocolate cupcakes from Mostly About Chocolate. Perfect for some half term baking if you have little people at home.
Or maybe you’d prefer a simple chocolate tart? Just look at this beauty from chocablog! That’s sure to impress the family or guests… or maybe just keep it to yourself because it’s far too good to share!
And if you’re out to impress, then these window box choc chip cakes from A Mummy Too are just the thing. Look at how pretty they are!
If you want to combine your love of chocolate with baking then you’ll love these macadamia nut brownies from Iced Jems. Nutty and gooey, just like brownies should be!
Now for some of my favourites – Viennese Biscuits. These ones from Baking Bar look absolutely wonderful – so stylish and I bet they taste pretty good too!
Next week is Halloween so if you’re looking for something to bake then these Candy Corn Pumpkin Blondies from Cakeyboi are a bit different. Including candy corn in the recipe sounds like a great idea.
Finally this week, they may not be baked but they look so good I just had to include them… jam doughnuts from Under The Blue Gum Tree. I’ve never tried making them before but I’m definitely going to now!
So that’s all for this week. If you have a favourite baking or chocolate recipe then do let us know in the comments.
