It’s no secret that I have a very sweet tooth and love to bake, so I am always drawn to delicious looking cake recipes! With the chilly weather, I love nothing more than to get in the kitchen and bake up treats. So, here are some of the tasty looking cakes that I have added to my ‘must make’ list this week.
First up is this wonderful blackberry and white chocolate loaf cake from Charlotte’s Kitchen Diary. I love the sound of adding crushed berries to the cake mix to make the cake all purple!
If you’re looking for a cake to serve up as a dessert, I think this peaches and cream upside down cake from Cakes from Kim will fit the bill perfectly.
This lemon meringue cake from peach trees and bumblebees is one that I have to try really soon. It combines some of my favourite flavours and looks amazing!
You can’t beat a bit of chocolate as a pick me up on cold winter evenings! These fruit and nut brownies from The Twilight Chef will go down very well in lunch boxes next week, I think.
I’ve not tried making and cooking with pumpkin puree before, but I’m definitely going to give it a go so I can make this spiced pumpkin cake from the view from the table. It sounds delicious!
Do you find it difficult to adapt recipes for different sized cake tins? Well, Cakes Bakes and Cookies has done some of the hard work for you with this Chocolate Madeira cake recipe.
I am a huge fan of anything that contains ginger so this gingerbread cake with orange cream cheese frosting from A Spoonful of Sugar caught my eye immediately. Perfect for a spot of weekend baking.
Slightly deviating from the cake theme but, I have to agree with Lancashire Food’s blog post title – these do look like the best fruited buns, ever! I love the fact that you can add your favourite dried fruits to customise these.
How amazing is this 1950s Vintage Dress Cake from Laura Loves Cakes? She’s so clever! Just working out whose birthday is next so I can try this out…
Finishing off this week’s round up we have some pretty chocolate and vanilla cupcakes from Lottie’s World of Cakes and Bakes. The decoration is just perfect.
If you’d like to write a Ten at Ten round up, cake themed or not (!), then do drop me a line – we’d love to hear about the blogs you love to read.
