In the Kitchen with Passion For Food

Inside food bloggers' kitchens....

Our In The Kitchen feature gives us the opportunity to meet a different food blogger each month and ask them to show us their favourite tools and gadgets around their kitchen. This month we have a nosy around Kiran Singh’s kitchen. Kiran, who is originally from Norway, but now lives in London,  blogs at Passion For Food.

Over to Kiran…

One of the things I LOVE about cooking is that cooking a meal is one of the most personal and intimate things you can do for someone. You’re literally providing plated nourishment made with your own hands and creativity – even if you’re following a recipe, you picked the recipe and planned the meal didn’t you? The speciality about a home cooked meal is the feeling of abundance it provides, everything you have and need is right in the front of you within arms reach. The fragrance of garlic, the crackle from the skillet, end the sight of perfectly roasted bird coming out from the oven….DIVINE! Cooking speaks to all of my senses. It’s a joy I’m so proud to know!

Front & Main

This is just a close-up of the main part of the kitchen which is used all the time. I’ve got my hob in the centre, sink with a window overlooking the beautiful canal and to the left is my working space.

This is my compact, but beautiful kitchen! As it’s small, everything that’s needed is within reach! This makes the whole cooking experience more enjoyable for me – it creates a kind of cosy ambiance.

My DAB radio

I absolutely love my DAB radio – nothing beats the moment of cooking a yummy meal while listening and dancing to Jazz music. I did some diy and set-up a window shelf for my herbs. And of course my Jamie Oliver onion and garlic tins, my pestle and mortar, plus my rather rustic whistle kettle.

My Work Space

Now this is where it all happens! I have got a small drawer shelf on the wall containing stock, spices, bag clips and more. I love wooden chopping boards, something rustic about it. I’ve got a selection of Italian knifes on the wall, my little basket for vegetables and most importantly; a place for my tablet. I absolutely love watching Nigel Slater cook while I cook. Just makes the whole experience joyful.

Thank you to Kiran for letting us into her home, if you would like to find out more about Kiran you can find her blog at Passion For Food, on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Google +.

So You Know...

As you've likely heard and seen, there's an increasing focus on the authenticity of follower growth and engagement on social platforms across the Influencer Marketing community. The platforms themselves have taken measures to deter inauthentic activity and brands now more closely scrutinise the audiences of the influencers with whom they are partnering.

The Flea Network has implemented a system that will detect abnormal spikes in following and engagement, and flag these properties. Of course, such spikes can often be attributed to viral posts or high-profile brands that bring greater exposure to some content.

If one of your social accounts is flagged by our system without an obvious reason, we may reach out to you for assistance in understanding it. If we find any influencer has artificially inflated their audience size or engagement using paid acquisition or automated, third-party tools, we will remove them permanently from our influencer community.

Feel free to reach out to us at with any questions or comments.

Thank you!
