Happy New Year! We hope you had a fabulous Christmas and indulged in large amounts of turkey, brussel sprouts, chocolate, mulled wine and all other things that make the festive season so much fun.

Now that we start a new year, exciting changes are afoot at Foodies100 for members of the index. From this month, all members of the index will be receiving another score dependent on how many successful campaigns they have completed with Foodies100. These bloggers may find they have either a red, silver or gold ribbon attached to their badge. Consider this an endorsement by us that you’re doing a great job!

On another note, unfortunately we have seen more and more blogs effectively ‘buying’ followers by funding prizes/giving away cash themselves, and because companies rely on our metrics to compare blogs we will not be able to promote these blogs in the future. Whilst we are happy for these blogs to remain part of our network, the blogs will be given a zero score.

We have lots of exciting new features coming up and cannot wait to share them with you, so once again we wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous new year.

    I have just joined back up with you as I want to move my blog more into food over the next few months. I haven’t done many campaigns with you yet but really hope to soon 🙂 I hope to get a red, silver or gold star by next time, ha!!

As you've likely heard and seen, there's an increasing focus on the authenticity of follower growth and engagement on social platforms across the Influencer Marketing community. The platforms themselves have taken measures to deter inauthentic activity and brands now more closely scrutinise the audiences of the influencers with whom they are partnering.

The Flea Network has implemented a system that will detect abnormal spikes in following and engagement, and flag these properties. Of course, such spikes can often be attributed to viral posts or high-profile brands that bring greater exposure to some content.

If one of your social accounts is flagged by our system without an obvious reason, we may reach out to you for assistance in understanding it. If we find any influencer has artificially inflated their audience size or engagement using paid acquisition or automated, third-party tools, we will remove them permanently from our influencer community.
